Most small businesses have a vehicle of some sort, ranging from a car to a HGV trailer. But many don’t know how to utilise them to enhance their brand. This post was written to encourage you think outside the box and to get the most from your vehicle and your business.
Highlight your website or business name, not your phone number
What are you more likely to remember, a 11 digit phone number or a two to three word business name which you can Google when you get home? My advice is highlight your website and have your phone number just in smaller font size. Just remember to set up a Google AdWords campaign to catch those looking for your website.
Keep it simple
Most people will have a few seconds at most to absorb your information, so don’t overload them. Make it simple, a business name, a short description of what you do (if its not obvious) and your web address should be enough.
Make it entertaining
Make a joke or have an interesting picture, this is all it takes for your audience to take a look at your advert and remember it. Don’t believe me? Next time your in a queue take a look around at the other drivers and passengers, what are they doing? My bet is they are looking for something to catch their attention to interrupt the boredom of being stuck. The fact your funny or eye catching can make the difference from them giving you a call or not.
Colour is magical. If done right it can make the difference between them making a call to you or not. Make sure the colours match and compliment your branding.
Match your brand
The most important point with advertising on your vehicle is the need for it to be inline with other marketing communications. The last thing you want is a potential customer landing on your website and it isn’t what they expected. This can confuse or put a customer off and the likelihood is that you will not get them back. It’s bad for your search engine optimisation too!
Make sure that your branding is clear, concise and in line with what you offer. It can take a bit of thought and ingenuity but once you get it right, it has the potential to gain you leads on and off the road!
